With a long blackened coastline shaped by eroded lava, James Bay features numerous lava pools, caves, and inlets that are home to an incredible variety of wildlife. Marine iguanas are commonly spotted here, along with hundreds of Sally Lightfoot crabs and herons. In the inlets, Galpagos fur seals swim alongside tropical fish, sharks, moray eels, and octopuses. The area also offers excellent opportunities for snorkeling.
