North Trail – Media Luna

This 5 km trail leads to a crescent-shaped hill known as Media Luna, one of the prominent volcanic craters located in the highlands of Santa Cruz Island. Along the trail, you pass through the agricultural zone near the Galápagos National Park boundary, then into the Miconia zone, and finally reach the Fern and Sedge zones typical of the highlands. Wildlife sightings may include peregrine falcons and the elusive Galápagos rail.
