Santa Cruz Island
Los Gemelos, or "The Twins," are two impressive volcanic sinkholes located in the highlands of Santa Cruz Island. Unlike the arid lowlands, this area receives more moisture during the garúa (foggy) season, which allows for a lush and thriving ecosystem. The twin craters are surrounded by a Scalesia forest and offer an excellent opportunity to spot unique highland bird species.
