Hello, Maria. It’s good to hear from you.
Yes, our return home was uneventful, and it’s always good to be home, no matter how much Julie and I love to travel and enjoy the different places we have been to.
Galapagos definitely qualifies as one of those great trips! First of all, you couldn’t have been more helpful and patient with our preparations and in providing information — no matter how many questions I had. We were very pleased with the operation and accommodations aboard Tip Top II under the command of Capt. Jimmy. (Sorry to say, I don’t know his last name?) The vessel was first class, extremely clean and well maintained, the food was varied and excellent, and we — the Madigans and Laynes — can’t say enough good things about the crew. Capt. Jimmy, second-in-command David, purser Carlos, chef Willy, engineer Miguel, boat driver Mario, bartender and chief waiter Luis #1, and cabin boy Luis #2 did everything they could to keep us safe and comfortable. Our guide, Angelica Jahnel, was excellent. She knows the islands like her backyard, and her nightly orientations were enlightening.
If you want to post any of this to Facebook, I’ll let you do that, I don’t spend any time with social media.
Thank you again for a job well done and a terrific trip. We will tell our friends who wish to visit the Americas about Columbus Travel.
